October 2, 2026; 5pm: The midterms are looming closer, and Donald Trump has hit the campaign trail, traveling to states that are normally ruby red. In the wake of the war in Iran, high gas prices, and a lagging economy, these same red states now seem politically competitive. Meanwhile, many Republican candidates are quietly clearing out their websites and political ads of any mention of the unpopular Donald Trump.
